Bravery

Amazing news, my habibis! I have just purchased my plane ticket to the Dominican Republic (la Republica Dominicana)! I am so excited! Although my trip is two months away, I have already started planning! And I still plan on my Pan-American adventure later on in the year too.

So a few hours ago, I received a phone call from my mother. She was really upset that I had purchased my ticket because I am going alone. She did insist that my father go with me but I refused. This confused her because she doesn't understand why I want to go alone. She thinks I want to go and be a flirt, hahaha. But know I want to experience a different culture and embrace the beauty of life and other people's opinions and ways of life. This helps me grow as a person, it humbles me and also motivates me to inspire the world and strive to be the best in my field in order to provide for everyone. I tried to explain this to her  and my mother cried, "Why did God have to give me a crazy daughter! " I laughed and I heard my grandpa in the background say, "She is not crazy but she is brave. But bravery may lead to foolishness."

I will agree with my grandfather that bravery can lead to foolishness. But I can do this. What if everyone in the world had no fear and followed their dreams?! You have to follow your dreams kid! I will! I want to go somewhere in life and I will use the bravery that I was blessed with to take me places in life and to help others. I believe that in order to love the world, one must experience the world! I have already been all over Mexico and places in the United States. Now it's time to branch out, this is why I work so hard to make money--so I can travel and I am also a full time student. I have to be educated in order to help everyone raise their standard of living, no?

I must be off to study now but please stay sane and humble AND brave! Good night! Buenas noches!
