JJ
Hello everyone! I'm JJ. This is my first post and I can't wait to get this blog off the ground. I want to touch on many topics as possible and share my thoughts on world affairs, politics, business, love, food, entertainment, and music. I will talk a bit about myself in this first post.
I was raised in California's Central Coast by amazing grandparents, uncles, and a beautiful mother. I was raised in a traditional Mexican household and lived in an awesome cute blue house. Most of my days were spent with my loving grand mother Leila, a Mexican immigrant who came with her husband (my Abuelito) to make a better life for themselves and most importantly their kids and grand babies. I had eight uncles, my mom's brothers, and most of them were very young, so we all hung out, played sports, and ran through the sprinklers on hot summer days. I owe much of my tom boy attributes to them but I'm not complaining. I love cars and baseball and proud of it.
School was fun and later a bit stressful once I reached middle school and all of the complications of pre-teen society hit me. I will admit, I was not the pretty girl and more of the athletic shy nerd who loved Babe Ruth as much as she did Franklin D. Roosevelt and science.
Then there was high school. I could write for days about this but don't worry, I will briefly sum it up. High school was fun and a time of self discovery for myself. I played Varsity baseball--outfield and 2nd base, I was in the Drama club and even starred in some school plays. I was in many clubs--some because I was actually interested and others because they had good food! It was fine and dandy until my Jr. year when my mother and step father deemed it inappropriate for me to continue playing a "mans" sport and there was much friction.I loved and honored my parents but my love and passion for the game was intense so I went against their wishes and played and thus the family friction got worse and it was unpleasant for myself.
So I survived high school and my family tension. I gained and lost friends and became wiser. I am still not very wise but I am grateful for what I have so far. I am now a 19 yr old Sophomore in San Franny and I am a Business Management major. I aspire to own my own fair trade coffee company (justice for the coffee farmers and piece of mind and soul!) and I want to design and market a new line of 100% American made luxury cars for General Motors and make this car better than sex (okay okay....a close second!). I love to volunteer and I enjoy the company of the elderly and young kiddies because they teach me something about life and inspire me to do great things. I love everyone and my achievements are not only for myself but for the world and for my Arabs and Mexicans. Nuff said.
