The Grace of May
Greetings my dear friends! Hola amigos del mundo! Mar7aba habibis min al 3Lam! Kif halak? I am doing well, just a little occupied with my academic studies. Just 16 more days until I graduate and finally earn my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Concentration in Management and Finance. It's very exciting, as I strove with all my might to make it out here. I left home when I was 17 and was determined to beat all odds--the obstacles from life and my very own family.
I've been keeping up with baseball games and volunteering as well, not to mention, reading a few classics. I adore A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry and Arthur Miller's, Death of a Salesman. I'm also finishing up Upton Sinclair's, The Jungle and Adam Smith's, The Wealth of Nations. These books have a few things in common, such as the daily struggles of regular American people who have nothing but their dreams. They are fictional but they motivate me to try my hardest, for them and for everyone in real life too.
I will also be traveling in the next few weeks to: Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Boston, New Haven, and New York. I shall see you all soon! Alas, I must return to my school work, but always remember that anything is possible. It may be a scary thought, but if you believe, you will achieve. Stay sane and humble my habibis.
